How it works
Step-by-step guide with pictures →- Drag and drop your PNG or JPG - a logo, an icon or an illustration works best. A PNG keeps its transparent background; a JPG has no transparency.
- Choose EPS (selected automatically), SVG or PDF.
- EPS (Compatible): a standard EPS that opens in all programs. EPS 10 (Illustrator): an Illustrator 10 EPS - every object opens separately editable in Adobe Illustrator.
- Need it bigger? Choose Upscale 2x, 4x or 8x - the vector is scaled up with its proportions kept (like Shift + resize).
- Press Start: the image is placed on an artboard of the same size and traced into vector shapes.
- A frame without fill and with a white stroke marks the artboard, so the file keeps its exact size.
- All objects are ungrouped, so every shape can be selected and edited on its own.
- Your vector file is downloaded with the same name as your PNG.

Questions
What does the PNG to EPS converter do?
It traces your PNG into real vector shapes (paths), puts them on an artboard with the size of your picture and saves a new EPS file with the same name as your PNG. You can open the EPS in Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Affinity Designer or Inkscape and edit every shape.
Can I get an SVG instead of an EPS?
Yes. Choose SVG in the "Convert to" list before you press Start. EPS is selected automatically.
Which pictures give the best result?
Logos, icons, clipart, silhouettes and illustrations with clear edges and a limited number of colours. Photos also work, but they become many small shapes. A transparent background stays transparent.
How many files can I convert for free?
Every account can convert 3 files for free. After that you can buy credits ($0.50 per file) or a converter subscription with unlimited conversions. Premium Elite and Premium Ultra members convert without limits.
Why do I need to log in?
Your conversions are counted on your account, so your free conversions, credits and subscription work on every device.
Is my picture kept on the server?
No. The picture is converted in your browser. Only the finished vector is written to an EPS file on the server for the download, and that working file is deleted automatically after a short time.
